Key Physical Fitness Criteria

  • General Health: No history of mental illness, structural body defects, skin diseases, or speech impediments.
  • Vision (Eyesight Standards):
    • Army: Uncorrected vision: 6/6 in one eye, 6/9 in the other. Correctable to 6/6. Myopia limit: -2.5D; Hypermetropia limit: +3.5D.
    • Air Force (Flying Branch): Strictly 6/6 in both eyes. No refractive errors allowed. Laser surgery (LASIK) is not permitted.
