The National Defence Academy (NDA) exam is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for young aspirants seeking a career in the Indian Armed Forces (Army, Navy, and Air Force). It is one of the most prestigious defence entrance exams in India.

Key Update: Both male and female unmarried candidates who have completed or are currently in Class 12 are eligible to apply.

Armed Forces Wings & Training

Selected candidates are admitted to the National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla, Pune, where they undergo three years of rigorous academic and physical training. After completing training, Army cadets head to the Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun, Naval cadets to the Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, and Air Force cadets to the Air Force Academy (AFA) Dundigal for one additional year of specialized training.
